Commissioned in 2007 by the Michigan Secretary of State - Office of the Great Seal as a notary public, I took an oath of office to serve as an unbiased and impartial witness on business, public and other documents. With respect to tangible records, I am authorized to perform including, but not limited to, taking an acknowledgment, administering an oath or affirmation, taking of a verification upon oath or affirmation, or witnessing or attesting a signature performed while being in compliance.
The most common service that I provide is to prevent fraud by attesting to the identity of a person signing a document. A notarization on a document certifies that the person whose signature is entered on the document personally appeared before me, established his or her identity, and personally signed the document in my presence.

I am not an attorney and therefore, by law, I cannot explain or interpret the contents of any document for you, instruct you on how to complete a document or direct you on the advisability of signing a particular document. By doing so I would be engaging in the unauthorized practice of law, and could face legal penalties that include the possibility of incarceration. Any important questions about your document should be addressed to the lender, title company or an attorney.
Before the notary public commences to travel in order to perform a notarial act, the notary public and client agree to total amount based on service and travel fee. If the notarial act can not be performed the travel fee is still required.
